Work from Home as a Solicitor

At Taylor Rose, our Consultant Solicitors are self-employed and have the freedom to choose where they work and when they work. Working as a Consultant Solicitor gives you the opportunity to work remotely and become a work from home Solicitor.

Working from home allows you to work flexibly and fit your work hours around your lifestyle. As a self-employed Solicitor, you can define your own earning potential by choosing how many caseloads you take on and how many hours you work. Working remotely also means you don’t have to commute to work every day. As a Consultant Solicitor, you have control over your work schedule.

Working remotely doesn’t mean that you have to take a loss in earnings. At Taylor Rose, we offer a competitive salary to all our Consultant Solicitors. For our work-from-home Solicitors, we offer a 70/30% split in your favour, rising to 75/25% when you hit £250,000.

We offer high-level support to all our consultants and provide you with all the tools you need to get started. In exchange for the fee split, you have access to a range of services and benefits. At Taylor Rose, we help our Consultant Solicitors reach their full potential as Lawyers, providing access to back-office support, office infrastructure, and a dedicated Consultant Concierge team to help our self-employed Solicitors feel secure and confident in their careers. Our dedicated Consultant Concierge Team provides support with initial setup, training, and ongoing career development. Our Consultant Solicitors also receive support with accounts, invoicing, marketing and much more even while working from home.

Consultants at Taylor Rose are either qualified as Solicitors, Chartered Legal Executives or Licensed Conveyancers or have substantial focused legal experience and are experts in their field. You’ll also need to demonstrate four years of experience and a good track record in your chosen practice area. Starting out as a self-employed Solicitor on your own can be difficult and daunting, especially if you don’t know where to begin. However, when you join us as a Consultant, we give you all the tools you need to get started and help you to establish yourself as a sole practitioner.

Working as a Consultant Solicitor is very different from being employed. You need to bring your own client following and have the confidence to win new clients too. Winning business is the biggest change when you become a Consultant. The handful of Consultants who do struggle are those who are used to their firms feeding them clients. However, if you can meet the challenges, there are benefits to becoming a self-employed Solicitor. Consultant Solicitors have the freedom to choose where they work and have control over their hours and work schedule.

At Taylor Rose, we offer high-quality support to our members. By working with Taylor Rose, you will be associated with an established and well-respected brand but you will be able to work from home. We are a top 60 law firm, with over 100 years of experience. Taylor Rose has been running its Consultant programme for many years, with a passion for excellence and client care.
