I owned my own niche litigation practice until I joined Taylor Rose in 2021. Covid introduced the concept of remote working in 2020 and I realised that my need for expensive office premises was a thing of the past. My fellow partner and I moved to Taylor Rose simultaneously taking our existing caseloads with us.

Now freed of the administrative burden of running a small practice I can concentrate on fee earning. Now working from home I no longer have a daily commute to contend with, I continue to service the same clients and I remain autonomous for all intents and purposes, working as much or as little as I wish.

I would encourage any owner of a small practice to consider the transition to a consultancy role whether they wish to work alone or if they want to bring support staff with them under the umbrella of their consultancy. Being part of Taylor Rose has improved my quality of life immeasurably. I spend more time with my family, the compliance burden of running a small practice is gone and my margins have improved.
